I'm writing to you today with big news: It's time for CITRUS to start a new chapter, with a new owner taking the reins. It is with a heart full of gratitude, joy, and bittersweet emotions that I write to you today. 

Seventeen years ago, CITRUS was ignited by a spark of love—soon after becoming a mother—and the desire to celebrate all of life's precious moments. What began as a humble endeavour has blossomed into a vibrant community woven together by shared values and connections that transcend time. 

As CITRUS evolved over the years, together we have shared the essence of life's unforgettable moments, celebrating the people and intentions that tell our story. From pennies and dimes marking milestone years to intricately designed pieces reflecting the names of your loved ones, each creation has been infused with the core values that have guided Citrus from its inception: personalized designs, locally made, quality craftsmanship, and unwavering dedication to your happiness. 

Quite organically, the CITRUS community has attracted people who appreciate the power of connection. By wearing and sharing, other people in your friend group have found CITRUS and purchased thoughtful gifts to share with others. And the cycle continues, resulting in a tightly woven community with lines connecting so many of you. 

As I reflect on the journey that brought us together, I am reminded of the power of serendipity and the beauty of new beginnings. It is with great joy that I announce a new chapter in the story of CITRUS. After much contemplation and soul-searching, I have found a kindred spirit in Trish, a long-time friend and loyal customer, whose passion for storytelling through design and unwavering commitment to excellence mirrors the values that have defined CITRUS from the start. We met in the schoolyard more than a decade ago, and she has been a fierce ambassador of CITRUS ever since. 

With her background in architecture and a keen eye for design, Trish brings a fresh perspective and a renewed sense of purpose to CITRUS. Her dedication to customer service and attention to detail is a testament to her lifelong dream of creating a jewellery company of her own. Together, we embark on a new journey, hand in hand, with a commitment to work together to ensure a smooth transition for Trish to take the helm and infuse CITRUS with her vision and passion. 

I am confident that under Trish's leadership, CITRUS will continue to flourish and evolve, creating new connections and honouring the stories and storytellers that have made CITRUS vibrant for 17 years. 

For me, this community has become a special family.  You’ve trusted me to impress your most precious people and vulnerable moments into timeless designs. You’ve shown love, kindness and respect. You’ve laughed at my smile emails and you’ve shared vulnerable stories in phone conversations and email exchanges. Creating this community has been the discovery of a treasure I never knew existed. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as the steward of CITRUS and I am filled with gratitude for the love, support, and friendship you have shared. 

Although I’m uncertain of what’s in store next for me, I plan to take some time to enjoy life with family and friends and will perhaps look for opportunities that empower women and girls in my next chapter, but the script is yet to be written. Regardless of what comes next, I will always cherish the connections and stories from this precious community. Thank you for continuing to be a part of this incredible journey as the spirit of CITRUS continues to shine bright in the hands of our new custodian, Trish.
