Hygge (pronounced “hoo-gah”) is a Danish word used to describe a feeling of warmth, comfort, and everyday joy.
While visiting Copenhagen, I found a small local bead shop where these ceramic beads are handmade in house. The colours immediately stopped me. They felt brighter, softer, and more playful than anything I would normally choose and I quickly understood why.
In a place that spends much of the year in darkness, there is an intentional focus on creating light through colour.
This collection is inspired by that idea.
The Hygge Collection is a small release of colourful ceramic necklaces designed to bring a little more warmth and brightness into everyday life. Easy to wear, layer, and collect.
Each necklace is hand assembled in Toronto using handmade ceramic beads sourced from Copenhagen.
Only two necklaces were made in each colour.
